DAC-Z8 is an all-in-one DAC, fully balanced preamp and headphone amplifier. With the integration of XMOS 316 and ESS flagship ES9038 Pro DAC chip, DAC-Z8 is capable of decoding up to DSD512, PCM 768Khz@32Bit and MQA and ensuring D/A conversion with low noise and distortion.

Professional Calibration

Benefited from development engineers' rich experience in analog circuit design, DAC-Z8 has professional calibration and circuit design. The total harmonic distortion ratio which has been measured is -124dB (0.000062%), signal-to-noise ratio and dynamic range are 133dB. These industry leading indicators are solid foundation for good sound quality.


XMOS 316

The 3rd generation XMOS 316 has faster processing speed and better USB bandwidth, which ensures lossless transmission for high-definition audio data. USB output supports DSD512 Native, PCM768@32bit and MQA full decoding. Optical and Coaxial output support DSD 64 (DoP) and PCM192@24Bit.



DAC-Z8 includes MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) technology, which enables you to play back MQA audio files and streams, delivering the sound of the original master recording. 


High Precision Clock Oscillators

Two low jitter clock oscillators (45.1584 MHz and 49.152Mhz) are integrated in DAC-Z8, which correspond to 44.1KHz and 48KHz multiplied sampling management. Audio decoding is more accurate.


Shunt Compensation and 8 OPA1612 I/V Circuit

DAC-Z8 I/V circuit is made up of 8 pcs of OPA1612. The multichannel signal shunt compensation technology has been adopted, 8 OPA1612 correspond to 8-channel output for I/V signal conversion, then output to 2 channels in parallel. In addition to high-precision resistances, it helps amplifying XLR, RCA and headphone output signal lossless, improving channel separation, dynamic range and the sound integrity.


Differential Amplifier Circuit and Balanced Preamp Output

The analog audio circuit is fully balanced design, XLR, RCA and headphone output are all processed by a balanced differential amplifier circuit. The noise has been eliminated by resolving the crosstalk of the shared loop and improving channel separation. The high-fidelity preamp circuit supports refined volume adjustment, without needing to connect with an additional preamp.


RCA and XLR Separate Output

In order to reduce the possible signal interference of the RCA and XLR simultaneous output, Z8 RCA and XLR are output separately to achieve higher audio indicator and better audio performance. For sure, RCA and XLR can be output at the same time by setting manually.


Qualcomm QCC5125 Bluetooth Module

DAC-Z8 Bluetooth audio receiver adopts Qualcomm QCC5125 module. It is Bluetooth 5.0 and supports SBC/AAC/aptX/aptX LL/aptX HD/LDAC Bluetooth audio protocol. Enjoy CD quality music conveniently by connecting mobile phone, tablet and computer.


Abundant Digital Filters

Different digital filter modes in DAC setting to meet different demands, there are 7 PCM filters and 4 DSD filters for you to choose.


Multiple Ports to Connect with Diverse Audio Source

DAC-Z8 has rich ports for digital audio input, including Coaxial, Optical, asynchronous USB DAC, Type-C for computers and mobile devices. APTX HD Bluetooth audio input can be used to connect with computers, streamers, CD players and mobile devices etc.


Low Ripple Power Module

Low-noise regulated power supply module and dedicated audio filter capacitor are tailored for DAC-Z8. It powers for audio circuit and ensures clearer sound, with low ripple and less interference.


Monitor-level Headphone Amplifier

The professional headphone driver circuit in DAC-Z8 has excellent audio indicators and strong driving force, which means DAC-Z8 can be used as a high-performance headphone amplifier and drive 16-300ohm HiFi headphones, with both high and low gain output options.


Exclusive Controller APP

DAC-Z8 can be easily controlled by mobile phone with the EVER SOLO Controller APP.
Almost all settings can be done in the APP via Bluetooth technology.


Colorful and Practical User Interface

The 3-inch LCD display on DAC-Z8 shows the colorful user interface of menu setting, audio source selection, VU meter and audio info. UI is cool and user-friendly, with some personalized preference settings.


Multifunctional Knob

The knob on the front panel is multifunctional, not only can be used for volume adjustment but also for menu selection, such as, input source switching, output selection, filter modes, UV meters, system language setup and firmware update etc. The embellishment of ambient light looks scientific and technological. It works as a supplement so that the device can still be controlled without the remote control.


Aluminum Chassis

DAC-Z8 is made of aviation aluminum, processed by CNC workmanship, coming with a stable body structure. It is a combination of exquisite appearance design and modern elements.
